A great spa and hotel in Tallinn

My daughter and I decided to spend a night in Tallinn a few weeks back for our Autumn break. Tallinn is a short cruise away from Helsinki, just 2½ hours with the ferry we took. It's very popular with Finns to go to Tallinn for a just a day trip or a mini-break. There are many ferries you can choose from, but in my opinion, the nicest one is Tallink Star/Superstar. It's more of a family ferry meaning that there aren't so many people there wanting to get drunk - which can be very unpleasant.

My daughter and I decided that we needed some pampering, so we reserved manicures and pedicures from Babor Spa. It'a a beautiful and luxurious spa with friendly personell. The decor is dark wood and the music is soothing. Highly recommended!

Our hotel was situated in the Old Town - the Savoy Boutique Hotel. The Old Town is very beautiful and lovely to walk around. Here's a pic of the hotel from the outside and the lobby.

Tallinn is quite small, so one night is quite enough to spend there. The nicest restaurants and cafes are in the Old Town. If you're going to visit Helsinki, it's certainly a good idea to combine the visit with a day trip to Tallinn!
