Suomenlinna is one of the must-sees for tourists in Helsinki and a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is also a very popular place for the locals to spend the day strolling around or have a picnic. And suprisingly, 850 people actually live on the island! We usually go once a summer to Suomenlinna and last week we decided to go there with our son while our daughter was having a blast at
Animecon. Our son was really into the island and can't wait to go again - what could be more exciting for a 5 yr old than a ferry ride, dark tunnels to explore and a submarine! Next time we need to take a flashlight to access more exciting tunnels.

Vesikko. Did you know that this is the only submarine in Finland? The Paris Peace Treaty forbade Finland ever having submarines again, so all but this one have been wrecked. Vesikko served in the World War II and is now a museum.
